In March, the children of Menston Primary enjoyed participating in the national ‘Science Week’ activity.
This proved to be a huge success across the school, with a wide range of activities being enjoyed by the children. The week started with a fabulous ‘Parents in Science’ workshop, in which some of our wonderful parents kindly came into school and shared how science plays a key role in their professional lives. This included applications of Artificial Intelligence, criminal forensics, plane aerodynamics, the workings of the cardio-vascular system and aspects of neuropsychology. We were very grateful to all of the parents who gave their time and helped our children appreciate the role science plays in the wider community.
Further science week events included:
This event proved to be a great success, and we look forward to this once again becoming a regular annual event in the school calendar.
