Menston Primary School

Making our world a better place

Ofsted Report September 2026

We are delighted to share the findings of our recent Ofsted inspection, which recognises the many strengths of our school and reflects the caring, ambitious and inclusive community that we strive to be every day.

Inspectors found that pupils at Menston Primary School are “happy, safe and proud to belong to this welcoming school community”. They highlighted the positive relationships that exist throughout the school, noting that pupils feel valued, included and well supported by adults who know them exceptionally well. The report recognises our strong culture of kindness, respect and inclusion, shaped by our school motto: “Making our world a better place”.

The report celebrates the rich experiences available to our children, including outdoor learning, first-hand experiences, clubs, visits, residentials and leadership opportunities that help pupils develop confidence, resilience and independence. Inspectors praised pupils’ behaviour, attitudes and contribution to school life, recognising the pride they take in supporting one another and making a positive difference within the wider community.

Ofsted also recognised the school’s highly inclusive culture, strong support for pupils’ personal development and wellbeing, effective safeguarding arrangements and the successful start children receive in our Early Years provision. The report reflects our ambition for every child to thrive socially, emotionally and academically and to leave Menston Primary well prepared for the next stage of their education.

We are incredibly proud of our pupils, staff, governors and families whose collective commitment has helped create such a positive and successful school community.
