Remote Learning

At Menston Primary School we aim to provide high-quality remote education when pupils cannot attend school in person for extended periods of time.

When We Provide Remote Learning

• During full or partial school closures for extended periods.
• For pupils who are absent due to illness/ medical needs for extended periods but are well enough to learn.

What to Expect

• Key Stage 1: Around 3 hours of learning per day.
• Key Stage 2: Around 4 hours per day.
• A mix of recorded lessons, independent tasks and feedback.

How to Access

• Learning tasks are communicated through year group emails and resources can be shared via Teams.
• Support is available for families without devices or internet access.

Support for All Pupils

• Resources are adapted for pupils with SEND.
• Regular contact will be made to support wellbeing and engagement.

Online Safety

• All remote learning follows our safeguarding policies and any concerns should be raised via our school office in strictest confidence.
